From travels in Russia and Europe, a certain number of photos of Baroque buildings have accumulated:
St. Petersburg
Winter Palace, the main residence of the Russian Tsars. The dominant building of the main square of St. Petersburg - Palace. The magnificent architecture in the style of Russian baroque, embodied by the Italian B.F. Rastrelli, has been pleasing the townspeople since 1762. After the fire of 1837, most of the interiors were destroyed by fire and the palace was completely reconstructed.
At the moment, the building is given under the exposition of the State Hermitage Museum, but the museum itself occupies not only this palace.

Feel the difference: the same view of Smolny in July.
In one picture - the Institute of Noble Maidens (philological department of the University), Smolny Cathedral (formerly a concert hall), Mental Hospital, Institute-where-made-GLONASS (now there is already known to everyone for sanctions Bank Russia), the House of Political Education of the Komsomol Central Committee (now center), British Consulate General.

Annunciation Church on Vaska
A small pleasant five-domed Church of the Annunciation on the 8th line of V.O. (Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin).
Smolny Cathedral
Holy Cross Cathedral
Holy Cross Cathedral (Cossack), Holy Cross Church Yamskaya - at the intersection of Ligovsky Avenue and Obvodny Canal. The domes are already shining, and the bottom is still in the woods.
Smolny Cathedral

Nikola marine
St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral (Naval Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and Theophany) is the northern facade from the side of St. Nicholas Garden.
Nakhimov College
Bell tower of the Cathedral of Peter and Paul and the Botny house
On the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress. The bell tower of the Cathedral of Peter and Paul and the Botny house.
Petropavlovka

Monument to Peter I in front of the Engineer's Castle
Monument to Peter I in front of the Engineer Castle. Great-grandfather Pravnuk. By the way, this is the first monument in St. Petersburg to man. And the only one in the city (yes, perhaps, in Russia) is an equestrian statue in the Baroque style.
The main building of the Admiralty office complex ( Kazan, Karl Marx St., 17). Petrovsky baroque - the last thing I expected to meet in Kazan.
The Imperial Traveling Palace is an architectural monument built in 1764-1766 according to the design of M. F. Kazakov, rebuilt by Karl Rossi at the beginning of the 19th century.
Now the palace is located Tver Regional Art Gallery.

The Savior Transfiguration Cathedral, designed by the rector of the Academy of Fine Arts A. I. Melnikov, consecrated on June 29, 1851. Interestingly, the Belfry is older than the cathedral for half a century (built in 1797 - 1804 ), and at the expense of the peasant (S. M. Karpov, the village of Kochevka, Yaroslavsky district).
Rybinsk, Krestovaya Str., 2 (Cathedral Square).

Casa de la Panaderia (“Bakery”) on the Plaza Mayor, one of the main squares of Madrid (one main square is in front of the royal palace and theater, and the second one is older). The picturesquely painted building was once a bakery yard, which is why it got its name.
