The ancient castle of the end of the XVIII century, similar to the medieval - the creation of the architect Vincenzo Brenna. During the Second World War, completely destroyed by fire, only the walls remained. Castle "Bip" restored already in our days, at the beginning of the XXI century. Used as an “informal” meeting place for high-ranking officials of the city.

Museum of Antiquities

The Kokuy Tower (Kukui, Kalancha, Kalanchovskaya) is a quadrangular deaf (impassable) tower in the southwestern part of the Novgorod Detinets, built on the principle of “two octagon over fours”. The tower is crowned with a silvered dome with a prapor of the Novgorod principality, above it a crown and a flower.

Strongly damaged during the war, the tower was restored in the 1960s in the guise of the XVII century.
