Constructivism in architecture is a rather rare style, because it was popular for a short time, the 30s of the XX century.
But I have a small collection of photos in the cities of Russia.
Ekaterinburg Post Office
Ekaterinburg Post Office, constructivism, 1933, architects V. D. Sokolov and K. I. Solomonov.
Yekaterinburg, prosp. Lenin, 39.
Contrasts building
The “First House of the City Council”, the first five-story building built in the Soviet years in the style of constructivism, was commissioned in 1928 by architect S. V. Dombrovsky.
Behind it, the pharmacy of the pharmacist Weisberg, the mansion of the first half of the XIX century (architect V. Dubrovin), was rebuilt at the beginning of the XX century. Object of cultural heritage.
Following the five-story building built in 1933 (constructivism).
Behind him in the greenery is the House of the Writer, the mansion of A. A. Drozzhilov, 1870s. Object of cultural heritage.
Spartak Stadium
Attractive pre-war stadium "Spartak", though a bit in a shabby state.
Tram dispatch station "Freedom Square"
The dispatcher tram station "Freedom Square" - chic and functional constructivism ! Barnaul, Socialist Ave., 14A. In this place, near the tram ring and the terminus, it was here in 1948 that the first tram route in the city was launched, tram number 1 ran from Freedom Square to the microdistrict, where the Yubileiny market is now located.
Moscow District Council
Moskovsky Prospect, 129 - a remarkable building in the style of constructivism (with elements of art deco). Built in 1930-1935 by architects I. I. Fomin, V. G. Daugul, B. M. Serebrovsky.
Palace of Communication
The Palace of Communications is a former German Reformed church, rebuilt beyond recognition.
House of Soviets
Administration of Nizhny Novgorod - “House of Soviets” - a monument of constructivism, 1931, architect: Alexander Grinberg.
The photo collection will be updated!
