Vladivostok Railway Station originally (in 1893year) was built as a one-story building, but in connection with the increase in passenger traffic, in 19091912it was rebuilt according to the project of civil engineer V. A. Plananson. And since at the same time the construction of the Yaroslavl station (the starting point of the Trans-Siberian Railway) was underway, the station of the Vladivostok station received similar features and the same neo-Russian style.
