Trip to Mauritius: Port Louis, part 1

Port Louis — the largest city of island Mauritius, state capital was one of obligatory points of our program.
First of all we have gone to search for an old aqueduct, but from the first attempt it was not possible to find.

Have gone to search for the monument to Lenin:
The monument to Lenin in Port Louis is established in park on peninsula Les Salines (french: Les Salines).
The oldest pagoda of Port Louis Kwan Tee is nearby located:
Old factory building.
Police administration of Port Louis.
In streets there are a vigorous trade of fruit, clothes and all everything.
On Mauritius very affable people. Many smile and greet, even in such big city, as Port Louis.
The most attractive in Port Louis — old colonial small houses.
Decayed colonial small house. We were on December, 31st, many shops have been closed.
In the centre of Port Louis old one — two-storeyed houses adjoin to modern skyscrapers, creating unique colour of a city.
Old theatre Port Louis, also building of colonial time.
Before theatre there is a stone with the cut declaration of human rights.
The tablet with the name: Gabriel Gillet's square (french: Place Gabriel Gillet).
The Swiss consulate on the square before theatre, too an attractive old building.
The Intendance streen all is buried in verdure and is forced by monuments beginning from English queen Victoria and finishing presidents of republic Mauritius.
Monument to Queen Victoria.
Monument to the governor of Mauritius (1883-1889) sir John Popehennesi.
Monument to the first president of republic Mauritius.
Muslim arch with citations from the Koran.
The Intendance street rests against quay and comes to the end with one more monument.
Building of post office Port Louis and mail museum.
Near the post office there are remarkable structure:
In Port Louis there are a lot of motorcyclists, but I expected to see more. In general on Mauritius the cores of a type of transport: pickups (who has money) and the bus (at whom is not present). On island it is not enough motorcycles, with the account that all year long summer.

Near the city market and in the market was a lot of people. And trade goes both inside and outside.
The street of Sir Virgil Naz — passes in Muslim quarter by a mosque and leaves in the Chinese quarter of Port Louis. On all island constantly there is an interlacing and the close neighbourhood of Moslems, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians. The street is decorate by white and green flags to Mohammed's future birthday.
