Fire show in the Ruskeala Mountain Park - light and fiery performance "Legend of the White Mountain". Some viewers waited for the performance for more than an hour - to watch it from the best places. Just before the start, a clearly drunk male voice came from behind me: “Mahmoud, set fire!” A giggle swept through the crowd.

The organizers fenced the bottom of the White Mountain in a semicircle, asking the audience not to go behind this fence.


The most cunning did not freeze the fifth point of the hour, and just before the start they were distributed on the side of the mountain. The show turned out to the side, but what's the difference?


In the course of the action, allegedly one of the Karelian legends was told about evil spirits and inhabitants of a certain village, whom these spirits were sick of. Well maybe.


These are already modern conjectures, the Karelians certainly had rituals with fire, but without such a “fakirism”. The organizers added this for entertainment.


I listened to my ear - the main thing for me was not to make a mistake with the settings of the camera, but because I was too lazy to take a tripod, then I took it off hand at the extreme modes.


The organizers added music to the organ of the show, which greatly diversified and complemented the visual picture.


The clothes of the participants of the show repeated the clothes of the ancient Karelians, but for entertainment, raincoats with luminous drawings were added to the action.

The deer horns of all the northern peoples, including the Karelians, had a ritual meaning and were used in pagan rites.





I can’t say how regular this action is, but in the Ruskeala Mountain Park some events are constantly taking place, for example, a concert of classical music. It is better to check in advance before visiting the park, as entrance ticket instead of 300 p. maybe 1000 r. and more.


Already that I am not a fan of such actions, but even I liked it.

Night illumination of a marble canyon .
At the end of the fire show and fireworks on the walls of the marble canyon, night illumination turned on - the Northern Lights.


The backlight is fabulous! Moreover, it is not static, but changes in different colors, a multi-colored version, as it were, moves along the canyon from left to right.



There was a time before Swallow in St. Petersburg after the show, I managed to photograph this beauty.




I very much regretted that I did not take a tripod - the quality of the photo would be several times higher.
