Eclecticism is a mixture of different architectural styles, as a rule with crushed non-large-scale elements of outdoor decor. Many representatives of this style were once criticized, but now they have become monuments of architecture and history.

The former Nikolaev library
The former Nikolaev library of the Amur department of the Russian Geographical Society, the first public library of the city.

The original one-story building of 1891 (the middle part of the building) was built as a house for war invalids, caring for the monument erected in the same year to Count N. N. Muravyov-Amursky.

Former National Hotel and Profitable House of V.K. Goldenstedt, Vladivostok , Svetlanskaya Str. 11. The building was built in 1907, architect Vladimir Karlovich Goldenstedt (his first major work). Outwardly, it looks like the building of the Moscow department store of the Mur and Merliz Trading House (now the Central Department Store).

The house of the merchant of the first guild Isai Matveyevich Fainberg, Irkutsk , Khalturina street, house 1. One of the most beautiful houses in the city! And yet, yes - pay attention to the star of David on the turret (Magen David / "Shield of David" - a symbol of Judaism and the amulet).

Year of construction - 1902 . There is even a separate book about this house and the merchant - A. Z. Skaler “House on Medvednikovskaya” (the former name of Khalturin Street).

Ufa

Ponosova-Mollo Mansion
Mansion of the merchant woman Ponosova-Mollo, Ufa, ul. Karl Marx, 6. Built in 1910, architect - Konstantin Alexandrovich Guskov. The first house in Ufa in the Art Nouveau style.

Now the building houses the Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Chita

Former synagogue
Former Chita synagogue, Ingodinsky St., 19. The building of the beginning of the XX century, the project of the architect Rodyukov, the facades are made according to the drawings of the architect Nikitin. The fact that this is a synagogue is noticeable in the mogendavids on the facade.
