The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God adjoins the Intercession Tower, the first chronicle mention refers to the church in 1305, since time has been rebuilt several times.
The church is of the type “octagon on the square” and is one of the few churches of this type that have been preserved in Novgorod.
