Near Pskov there is ancient Pskov-Caves Monastery, photo from trip. For me became opening that between wars, with 1920 for 1945 the monastery was in territory of Estonia thanks to what has completely remained and did not stop work.

Old slavic word «pechory» (caves), paternal such and the name at a monastery — the first monks lodged in the caves existing in territory of a monastery. Also Kiev-Caves monastery.
Monastery old, so it had powerful fortification.

In it all is fine: both idea, and realisation! And the handle shod.
