Originally, the chapel was built in 1888 year at the foot of the hill on which stands St. Nicholas Cathedral.In Soviet times, the chapel was demolished and in its place was erected a monument to V. I. Lenin /a>.
In 2015, the monument was transferred to the House of Culture, and the chapel was restored.
